Manufacturing Excellence Program with Polaris

Interns will gain valuable career experience and critical manufacturing skills from industry leading professionals.

The Manufacturing Excellence Program or MEP provides fifteen recent high school graduates the opportunity to work full time at Polaris Industries in Roseau, MN while going to college part-time for free through Bemidji State University.  Polaris will provide free housing in Roseau MN and you will attend college for free online through Bemidji State University.  You’ll be making money, learning valuable career skills and going to college.

To be part of the MEP, your first step is to apply with Polaris.  The application deadline for Fall semester of 2025 is May 1st, 2025.  Though you should apply early to reserve your spot.  To learn more about the MEP or application process, email Shannon Flynn at shannon.flynn@polaris.com. Once accepted into the MEP with Polaris, you will apply to BSU.  Your internship at Polaris will start in the Fall of 2025.

MEP Benefits

  • The credits you earn can be applied to a variety of bachelor’s degrees.
  • The classes you take will help you grow in your career at Polaris.
  • Bemidji State University faculty will be on campus weekly to get you started.
  • Training you receive from Polaris University can be turned into credit at BSU to shorten your time to a bachelor’s degree.
  • You will have the opportunity to continue your employment at Polaris after graduating from the MEP, and Polaris will provide you an additional $5,000 per year to continue your education.
  • Bemidji State University will provide both in-person and virtual support through your education journey
